Foo Fighters to Hold Benefit Concert for LA Homeless Services

The Foo Fighters will perform a benefit concert in Los Angeles on January 14th, coinciding with frontman Dave Grohl's birthday. All proceeds from the show will be donated to Hope the Mission and the Los Angeles Mission, two organizations focused on serving the city's homeless population.
Grohl and his wife, Jordyn, personally selected the beneficiary charities, according to the band.
A ticket pre-sale event took place on Sunday and included a donation component. Fans purchasing tickets were asked to bring food, clothing, and other supplies for the two missions while waiting in line.
"There's something special in LA. We want to help people. We want people to be a part of this...not languish on the streets," said Rowan Vansleve, President of Hope the Mission and the Los Angeles Mission. "And it's events like this that really showcase how great our city is."
Both Hope the Mission and the Los Angeles Mission provide meals, shelter, and other services to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Los Angeles area.
