Men of the Desert Fashion Show Raises $260K for Animal Rescue at Palm Springs Air Museum

The Palm Springs community stepped up in a big way last night at the Palm Springs Air Museum for the 16th annual Men of the Desert Fashion Show and Luncheon. More than 300 guests attended, enjoying a lively evening of fashion, friendly faces, and beloved pets, all in support of a lifesaving mission.

Proceeds from the stylish event benefit Animal Samaritans and its animal rescue efforts, which have helped save more than 16,000 at-risk cats and dogs. The nonprofit relies heavily on community support to continue providing medical care, shelter, and second chances for animals in need.

Among the local participants was NBC Palm Springs team member Mark Mester, who took to the runway with enthusiasm. Organizers say the strong turnout shows just how committed the Coachella Valley is to protecting and caring for vulnerable animals.

This event serves as Animal Samaritans’ sole fundraiser of the year, making every dollar raised crucial. Staff say the funds will directly support shelter services and rescue programs that ensure pets receive the care and compassion they deserve.

As of the latest total, $260,000 was raised last night — a powerful show of generosity that will make a difference for thousands of four-legged friends.
