Plaza Theatre Enters Second Week with Palm Springs Icons Tribute Show
The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre continues its revitalization Monday night with "Palm Springs Icons," a tribute performance honoring artists and entertainers who shaped the city's cultural history.
The one-night event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be hosted by composer and jazz pianist Billy Stritch. Created specifically for the theater's reopening, the show combines live music, video presentations, and storytelling to honor this year's inaugural class of Palm Springs Icons.
The 2025 honorees include:
- Frank Sinatra, the enduring music icon and Palm Springs legend
- Trixie Mattel, glocal drag star and musician
- Lucie Arnaz, Emmy-winning actress and producer
- Paul Feig, filmmaker behind "Bridesmaids" and "Spy"
- Michael Childers, photographer and producer
- Larry Luckinbill, Tony-nominated actor
- Brian Ray, acclaimed guitarist and Paul McCartney touring band member
- Michael Holmes and The Purple Room, the revived Rat Pack-era supper club
Proceeds from the performance will benefit Arts Teach Kids, an organization supporting arts education for youth in the Coachella Valley.
Tickets are priced starting at approximately $82, with availability remaining as of Monday morning.
