PSP Issues Reminder on REAL ID Requirements Ahead of February Deadline
Travelers going through Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) are being reminded to double-check their identification before heading to the airport. The Transportation Security Administration says starting Feb. 1, flyers who arrive without a REAL ID, valid passport, or other TSA-approved identification will be subject to a $45 fee.
According to TSA officials, the fee applies to passengers who do not have proper identification covering a 10-day travel window. To avoid delays or added costs, travelers are encouraged to make sure their REAL ID or passport is current and packed before arriving at the airport.
If you’re unsure whether your identification qualifies, TSA recommends visiting tsa.gov/real-id to verify requirements ahead of their next trip.
