SCP Auctions Showcases Shohei Ohtani’s Historic World Series Home Run Ball

SCP Auctions is opening a blockbuster World Series-themed sale this Wednesday, December 10, featuring two of the most memorable moments from the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2025 championship run. The headliners: a game-tying World Series home run ball from Shohei Ohtani and a full set of game-used memorabilia from Miguel Rojas’ unforgettable Game 7 performance.
One of the auction’s crown jewels is the ball from Shohei Ohtani’s dramatic seventh-inning home run in Game 3 of the Fall Classic — his second homer of the game. Ohtani came to the plate in a contest that would stretch to 18 innings, matching the longest game in World Series history. Already 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run, he launched the first pitch he saw from Blue Jays reliever Seranthony Domínguez 401 feet to left-center, tying the game at 5-5.
What followed was an extraordinary night of postseason dominance from Ohtani. “Shotime” reached base a record nine times, and after his seventh-inning blast, the Blue Jays refused to challenge him, intentionally walking him five consecutive times. The game remained tied until Freddie Freeman’s walk-off homer in the 18th inning sealed a Dodgers victory.
This marks the first time any of Ohtani’s World Series home run balls have been made available to the public. SCP Auctions expects the historic piece to clear the $1 million mark when bidding concludes.
Also featured in the sale is an iconic set of memorabilia from Dodgers utility infielder Miguel Rojas, whose heroics in the decisive Game 7 helped propel Los Angeles to the championship. Trailing 4-3 in the ninth inning and facing Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman, the 36-year-old Rojas — who had not homered in the postseason and had just one home run against a right-hander all season — battled to a full count. He then crushed a hanging slider 387 feet over the Dodgers bullpen, tying the game and stunning the Rogers Centre crowd.
The Dodgers would go on to win the series after Will Smith’s go-ahead homer in the 11th inning. Rojas, who has already re-signed for a final season in 2026, provided SCP with his game-used jersey, cleats, glove, arm sleeve, sweatband, and locker tag — each item signed and inscribed to commemorate the championship moment.
The auction runs from December 10 through December 18. Interested bidders or collectors can learn more at SCPAuctions.com or by calling (949) 831-3700.
