Palm Springs Animal Shelter's Annual Tail-a-thon Extravaganza Tomorrow
The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is getting ready for its annual Tail-a-thon Extravaganza tomorrow, December 11 — and NBC Palm Springs is teaming up once again to help support the cause.
The Tail-a-thon runs from 4 to 7 p.m., broadcasting live from both the shelter and the new Desert Wildlife Center in Palm Springs. The fundraiser supports the thousands of animals the shelter and wildlife center care for each year, from pets in need of medical attention to injured wildlife undergoing rehabilitation.
“We get over 3,000 animals here a year,” Executive Director Dan Rossi said. Funds raised during the event also support the Desert Wildlife Center, which treats and rehabilitates injured wildlife from across the region.
Tomorrow’s Tail-a-thon will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at daily operations at both facilities, along with real-time updates as the community rallies together to help local animals. And, as always, the event promises plenty of furry — and very adorable — friends on screen.
