Cathedral City Police Chief George Crum Set to Retire Next Week

CATHEDRAL CITY (CNS) - Cathedral City Police Chief George Crum will
retire next week after working 36 years in law enforcement.
  

Crum will retire next Thursday, officials said. He became the city's
chief of police on Dec.10, 2014, but retired in November 2017, only to be re-
appointed in February 2020, according to the department's website.
  

Crum began his career in law enforcement as a police officer for the
Fullerton Police Department in 1987. During his career, he has worked
assignments including in Narcotics Unit, Crime Impact Unit, Internal Affairs
and Special Weapons and Tactics.
  

``Chief Crum has been an incredible leader for our department and
community, and we're deeply grateful for his decades of commitment to public
safety,'' according to a city spokesperson.
