Dish Detective Reveals Clandestino As This Week’s Mystery Restaurant In Palm Springs
It is time for this week’s Dish Detective Reveal, the Instagram contest hosted alongside local food reviewers Dining with the Davids. Each week, the team showcases dishes from a local restaurant, dropping hints for viewers who then try to guess the mystery dining spot. Those who guess correctly are entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the featured restaurant. The deadline for this week’s entries closed yesterday at noon, and now the big reveal is here.
The first clue was a plate of fried squash blossoms, lightly crisped and filled with gooey Oaxaca cheese. Set over beautifully smoked green and red sauces and served with grilled vegetables, the dish immediately caught the attention of viewers and had many food lovers convinced they were on the right track.
Next came the Camaronis a la Tala: shrimp fire-grilled in the shell, butterflied, and served over roast blanco. The deep, smoky salsa coating every bite was described as absolutely worth the napkin count, giving participants another strong hint at the restaurant’s culinary style.
For dessert, the team highlighted a churro ice cream sandwich that offered the perfect combination of crunch and melt, disappearing faster than most people’s self-control. It was the final clue that confirmed the identity of the restaurant for many.
This week’s mystery restaurant is Clandestino in Palm Springs. Known for bold flavors and standout presentations, Clandestino once again proved to be a crowd favorite with our foodie sleuths.
Hundreds of participants entered the contest, but only one winner could be selected. Congratulations to Christie Parents, who correctly guessed Clandestino and now receives a $100 gift card to enjoy a meal there.
