Palm Springs City-Wide Slurry Seal Project to Begin Next Week

Palm Springs will begin its annual slurry seal project on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, affecting multiple streets throughout the city over the next six weeks. The city expects work to be completed by the end of January 2026.

Indian Canyon Drive will be the first major street impacted, with the outside lane closed December 16 and the inside lane closed December 17. The work zone extends from the north side of 19th Avenue to the northern city limits.

Additional major streets will be affected in January, including Baristo Road (January 26-28), Sunrise Way (January 20-21), Tahquitz Canyon Way (multiple dates from January 6-13), and Via Escuela (January 20-23).

Other streets scheduled for work include Camino Monte Vista (January 8), Tachevah Drive (January 15-16), and Via Miraleste (January 12-13). The full schedule, organized by street name, is available at engagepalmsprings.com.

Construction hours are scheduled for 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. All dates are tentative and subject to change, with 72 hours' advance notification to be provided before work begins on each street section.
