23-Year-Old Man Killed in Indio Shooting; Suspect Still at Large

One person is dead following a shooting in Indio this afternoon, and police are actively searching for a suspect.

According to Indio Police Department officials, officers responded just after 1 p.m. to reports of a shooting on Dove Street near Calhoun Street and Quail Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not been released at this time.

No arrests have been made, and investigators say the case remains active. Police have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive.
