Jane Lynch Gives Local Students a Behind-the-Scenes Holiday Experience

Adopt the Arts is giving local students a once-in-a-lifetime holiday experience. Emmy award-winning actress and co-founder Jane Lynch opened the doors of her sold-out holiday show, A Swingin' Little Christmas, for a special behind-the-scenes visit for students.

More than 100 elementary students from seven Adopt the Arts schools toured the historic Plaza Theater in downtown Palm Springs. They met Jane Lynch and co-founder Matt Sorum, watched a professional soundcheck, and got an inside look at the production of a world-class show.

Jane Lynch spoke about the importance of arts education, noting that the charity provides instruments, choir opportunities through the Changels, and music programs for K-5 students. “We have a ton of kids who are benefiting from this organization. They’re singing their hearts out and learning from this experience,” Lynch said.

Joining Lynch on stage were performers Kate Flannery, Tim Davis, and the Tony Guerrero Quintet, all part of the holiday show and the mission of Adopt the Arts to bring high-quality music and arts education to public school students. Lynch noted that the program has grown to eight schools in the Coachella Valley and continues to inspire young artists in the region.
