Jerry's SoCal Weather Briefing on Tuesday, December 16, 2025!

Yesterday, Palm Springs set a record high of 89°, smashing the old record of 86° set in 1942 and 1980. The city's normal mid-December high temp is 69°.
And once again, more warmer-than-normal numbers are expected today.
The Coachella Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds this afternoon with dry air and above-normal high temperatures in the middle-80s.
More of the same for Thursday and Friday, but under lots of sunshine.
It looks like the next best shot of precipitation for the Southland will be around Christmas Eve. As of today, the latest GFS forecast scenario has rain to the North and West of the Coachella Valley along with cooler midday high temps in the upper-60s/lower-70s. Stay tuned!
