Riverside County Approves Monroe Street Interchange Project in Indio

Riverside County supervisors have approved a major interchange improvement project in Indio aimed at easing congestion along the I-10 freeway. In a 4-0 vote, the board cleared the Monroe Street and I-10 interchange project to move forward.

The project includes reconstructing on- and off-ramps, adding new traffic lanes, and improving vehicle flow between Monroe Street and Jackson Street. County officials confirmed that the project has passed environmental review and will not displace any residents or businesses.

Construction timelines will be finalized once the remaining property easements are secured. Officials say the project is expected to significantly improve traffic conditions for commuters in the area.
