Palm Springs Fire Department, PS Fire Foundation Delivers Holiday Cheer to Local Kids

Holiday cheer was on full display in Palm Springs as the Palm Springs Fire Foundation completed its annual toy drive, delivering gifts to children at the local Boys and Girls Club. The event, held this afternoon, followed last week’s live coverage of the toy drive collection and marked the culmination of weeks of community support and generosity.

Organized by the Fire Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Palm Springs Fire Department, the event brought fire crew members together to personally hand out toys to approximately 60 children. Younger kids received toys of all sizes, while older children were given gift cards, allowing them to choose something special for themselves.

Fire department representatives emphasized that giving back to the community is a core part of their mission. They shared that supporting families during the holidays is something the department looks forward to every year, noting how the season brings families, friends, and the community closer together.

Adding to the fun, children also had the chance to meet Sparky, the station’s beloved dog mascot, making the day even more memorable. The toy drive and distribution continue to be a successful annual tradition, spreading joy and reinforcing the strong bond between the Palm Springs Fire Department and the community it serves.
