Weather
An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, December 18, 2025!
The Coachella Valley will be under lots of sunshine this afternoon with above-normal midday temperatures in the lower-to-middle 80s. You can expect lower-80s for your Friday.
With fair-weather high clouds in place this weekend, the Valley will experience filtered sunshine with highs in the upper-70s/lower-80s for both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
We will be tracking an upper-level low as it wobbles its way through the Southwest next week.
This low will begin moving over Central California on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, directing quite a bit of moisture over the Southland. As this low heads to the Northeast, a piece of energy will break-off to send more unsettled weather our way.
So -- in total -- there will be precipitation over Southern California on December 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th.
And -- as of today -- the best shots of seeing substantial rainfall totals in the Coachella Valley will be on the 24th and 27th.
Remember, there will be changes to this forecast. I will continue to adjust my outlook as the holidays approach. Stay tuned!
