Barton CPA Holds Holiday Food Drive to Support Desert LGBTQ+ Community Center

Barton CPA is hosting a drive-through holiday food drive today at their Palm Springs office to support the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert's food bank. You can drop off donations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 787 N. Palm Canyon Drive—just pull up to the curb and staff will collect your items.

The Center's food bank serves hundreds of individuals and families across the Coachella Valley each week, distributing groceries, produce, and household essentials every Thursday from its Palm Springs facility. With demand continuing to grow during the holiday season, the accounting firm has set a goal of making its largest donation ever this year.

"The Center does amazing work for people across our valley," said Dee Dee Wilson Barton. "We're proud to support their food bank and invite everyone to join us in giving back this season."

The drive accepts non-perishable items including canned proteins like tuna and chicken, pasta, rice, beans, cereal, canned vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, and pet food. Financial contributions are also welcome and will go directly toward purchasing fresh produce and proteins for the food bank.

The food drive wraps up at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
