SunLine Offering Free Holiday Bus Fares Through Early January

SunLine Transit is waiving fares on its main bus routes for nearly two weeks over the holidays. Starting Monday, December 22, riders can use Routes 1 through 9 at no charge through January 2.

The free service covers the agency's primary routes across the Coachella Valley, giving riders free access for shopping trips, family visits, or other travel during the holiday period.

SunLine will run regular service on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, but buses won't operate on Christmas Day—the agency's administrative offices will also be closed. On New Year's Day, buses will run on a weekend schedule rather than the usual weekday timetable.

The fare waiver applies only to Routes 1-9. Other SunLine services will continue operating at regular fares during this period.
