An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Friday, December 19, 2025!

The Coachella Valley will begin the day with sunny skies with thin, fair-weather high clouds moving overhead later in the day. Today's high temperatures will peak around 80°.

We'll see sunshine behind bands of upper-altitude cirrus clouds this weekend with Valley highs in the upper-70s.

As an upper level low moves down the West Coast, this counterclockwise-spinning disturbance will direct lots of moisture over Central and Southern California over the holidays.

As of today, the best shot of seeing significant rainfall will be on Christmas Eve into early Christmas Day.

Scattered showers will continue over the Southwest on the 26th and 27th, but all outside of the Coachella Valley.
