Boozehounds Hosts Howl at the Moon Block Party and Bow Wow Ball to Benefit Palm Springs Animal Shelter

A festive winter wonderland took over Palm Springs as Boozehounds hosted its annual Howl at the Moon block party and Bow Wow Ball, all in support of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

The community-centered event featured live music, drinks, local vendors, and plenty of dogs, with the highlight being a dog fashion show that doubled as a friendly competition. Categories included themed looks like ugly sweaters and tinsel-inspired outfits, drawing laughter and applause from the crowd.

NBC Palm Springs reporter Olivia Sandusky was live at the event and served as one of the judges for the dog pageant. She was joined by a lineup of notable judges, including Sandy Claus, actress Anna Camp, local personalities Devin and Ned, and the mayors of Palm Springs and Cathedral City.

Boozehounds co-owner Brian Rogers said the goal of the night was to bring the community together while raising funds for a cause close to many hearts. In addition to the runway-ready pups, several dogs from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter were on site and available for adoption, giving attendees a chance to meet their potential new best friend.

Organizers say the Bow Wow Ball continues to grow each year, combining entertainment, community spirit, and support for local animals in need.
