Howl At The Moon Block Party Brings Holiday Cheer (and Doggy Drag!) to Palm Springs

Get ready to unleash some holiday magic tonight! The "Howl at the Moon Block Party" is transforming Boozehounds Palm Springs into a festive wonderland — complete with live music, bonfires, and a can't-miss dog drag pageant benefiting the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

NBC Palm Springs is teaming up with GED Magazine and Boozehounds to raise funds and collect toys for our local shelter pups. The evening promises something for everyone: DJs, live music from Concerts Under the Stars, a doggy play area, s'mores stations, warm cookies, boozy holiday cocktails, and a pop-up market with local vendors.

The star of the show? The "Bow Wow Ball" — a fabulous runway competition for your four-legged friends hosted by the incomparable Sandy Claus. Dogs can compete in five categories: Big Baby Reindeer, Ugly Sweater Weather Realness, Femme Fatale Mrs. Claus, Butch Boy Sleigh, and Tail-wagging Tinsel Queen. Entry is $5 per category, and you can sign up on-site. Celebrity judges include Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp, comedian Deven Green, Handsome Ned, and NBC Palm Springs' own Olivia Sandusky.

Adoptable dogs from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter will also make special appearances — you might just meet your new fur-ever friend.

When: Tonight at 6 p.m. Where: Boozehounds Palm Springs on 2080 N Palm Canyon Dr

NBC Palm Springs will be there live, so stop by and say hello!
