U.S. stocks closed higher Friday on the New York Stock Exchange, ending the week with solid gains across all major indexes.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 183 points, finishing the session at 48,134.89, a gain of 0.38 percent. The Nasdaq led the market, surging more than 300 points to end the day at 23,307.62, a gain of 1.31 percent.
Friday’s upward movement reflected continued investor confidence as markets digested economic data and positioned ahead of the upcoming trading week. Technology stocks helped push the Nasdaq higher, while broader gains across multiple sectors supported advances in the Dow and S&P 500.
