Weather
An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, December 20, 2025!
The Coachella Valley will be under sheets of fair-weather high clouds above 25,000-feet today and tomorrow. Saturday's highs will peak in the upper-70s/lower-80s, while Sunday's temps will rise into the upper-70s.
Clouds will begin to thicken on Monday, more-so on Tuesday, all in advance of of a warm and wet weather system moving down the coastline.
It looks like Southern California will begin to experience precipitation Tuesday evening which will continue -- on-and-off -- through Sunday of next week.
As of today -- according to the latest GFS rendering -- the best shot of recording measurable rainfall in the Coachella Valley will be on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, then again on December 28.
NOAA's forecast places the heaviest rainfall occurring over the Valley on December 24th between 6a and midnight.
Because those forecast models have been wavering quite a bit over the past few days, odds are there will once again be changes. I will keep you updated. Stay tuned!
