Altura Credit Union Expands Indio Location and Highlights Lending Programs for Coachella Valley Members

Altura Credit Union, the largest credit union in Riverside County, continues to expand its presence in the Coachella Valley with a newly relocated Indio branch and a focus on lending programs that support financial growth for local members.

Lupe Navarro, representing the Indio location, says the branch recently moved to a new site about a mile from its former address. After more than 30 years in the same location, Altura outgrew the space and saw the need for a change. The new standalone building sits in a more central area of Indio, allowing the credit union to better serve members and continue growing within the community. The branch celebrated its re-grand opening in November and is now welcoming new memberships.

Altura also offers opportunity lending programs aimed at members who are establishing credit, have limited credit, or are working to rebuild it. Jessica Arroyo from the Coachella branch highlighted the credit union’s first-time auto buyer program, which allows qualified members to secure auto loans of up to $25,000 with a 10 percent down payment. The program applies to both new and used vehicles up to 10 years old.

To make the process even easier, Altura provides an auto buying service that connects members with an auto expert who helps locate and purchase a vehicle, creating a more seamless experience from start to finish. The program is part of Altura’s broader mission to enrich lives and strengthen financial stability throughout the community.
