An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Christmas Eve, 2025!
Widespread moderate to heavy rain will move over Southern California today where a Flood Watch has been posted.
The Coachella Valley is expected to pick-up an additional 0.20" to 0.80" of rain though this evening. The heaviest totals are forecast to fall between noon and midnight today, especially over the Western half of the Valley.
In fact, flooding issues will be a big concern from the Inland Empire to the Coast today where precipitation totals will be in the inches.
As this first frontal boundary moves out of SoCal on Thursday, the Valley gets a break from the wet weather before a second disturbance swings through the area on Friday triggering scattered showers.
I'm expecting lots of sunshine for your Saturday and Sunday afternoons with cool midday temps in the upper-60s.
