Seven Displaced, One Hospitalized After Indio House Fire

Seven people are displaced and one person was hospitalized following a house fire in Indio Tuesday afternoon. According to CAL FIRE, crews responded around 4 p.m. to a multifamily home off of Dr. Carreon Boulevard.

The fire has been contained, but firefighters remained on scene as of the latest update. One person sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No additional injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross has been requested to assist the displaced residents, which include six adults, one child, and a family dog. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
