An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Friday, December 26, 2025!
As a second frontal boundary moves through the Southwest today, clouds will thicken and there will be rain. Most of the precipitation will fall over mountains and from the Inland Empire to the Coast. A Flood Watch has been posted for those areas.
As far as the Coachella Valley is concerned, a few light showers are possible later today, especially over areas to the West. (I've posted two very different precipitation outlooks.)
You can expect sunny skies for your Saturday and Sunday afternoons with highs both days in the upper-60s.
Sunshine is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday with drier air and near-normal midday temps close to 70°.
As a retro upper-level low moves its way to the Northeast and approaches the San Diego County coastline on New Year's Day, lots of moisture will be pulled-up over the Southwest. As of today, it looks like Valley showers will occur after we welcome in the New Year. Stay tuned.
