Desert Holiday Classic Returns with Elite High School Basketball Talent from Around the World
The Desert Holiday Classic has returned to the Coachella Valley, once again transforming local gyms into a showcase for elite high school basketball talent from across the nation and beyond. Hosted primarily at Rancho Mirage High School, the tournament features teams from states including Nevada, Arizona, and Washington, as well as international squads, with at least one team traveling from Germany.
This year’s event includes several Division I college commits and three players ranked among the top ten in their class, highlighting the national significance of the tournament. Organizers say the level of competition continues to grow, offering fans a rare chance to see future collegiate and professional stars right in their own backyard.
In addition to nearly two dozen games played on opening day alone, the weekend includes fan-favorite events such as a slam dunk contest set for Friday night, where players can even try out for a spot before competing on the main court. Eight Coachella Valley high schools are participating in the tournament.
Tickets and passes are available through DesertHolidayClassic.com, with options for single-day access or full weekend entry. With packed stands, high-energy matchups, and national-caliber talent, the Desert Holiday Classic remains one of the premier high school basketball events in the region.
