E. Vista Chino Reopens in Palm Springs, Other Roads Remain Closed

East Vista Chino in Palm Springs has reopened as of 11:30 a.m. Friday morning. Several other major roadways, including Gene Autry and N. Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs remain closed this morning due to high water near wash areas, according to city officials.

North Indian Canyon Drive and Gene Autry Trail, along with Vista Chino, have been closed since Wednesday, as crews continue monitoring conditions and work with local authorities to ensure public safety.

Drivers traveling between Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs are advised to plan alternate routes. Indian Canyon Drive is closed between Pierson Blvd. and Mission Lakes Blvd., while Little Morongo Road remains closed at the wash between Two Bunch Palms Trail and Dillon Road.

Officials still urge residents and visitors to use caution, avoid flooded roadways, and stay updated as conditions evolve and roads gradually reopen.
