Fatality Investigation Shuts Down Lanes of I-10 in Indio

Developing news out of Indio tonight as two eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are shut down due to a fatality investigation. The closure is impacting traffic near Golf Center Parkway, where California Highway Patrol officers are on scene directing vehicles around the area using road flares.

According to the CHP traffic incident page, a coroner’s van is on its way, indicating a confirmed fatality. Traffic is backing up as drivers are funneled through the remaining open lanes.
