Free New Year’s Safe Rides Offered Across Coachella Valley

As New Year’s celebrations approach, efforts are underway across the Coachella Valley to prevent impaired driving. The Walter Clark Legal Group is bringing back its Safe Ride Home program, offering free ride reimbursements to help residents get home safely.

The program covers up to $50 for a one-way cab or Lyft ride between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., running next Tuesday through Thursday. Participating cities include Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, and Palm Desert. Uber rides are not included, and reimbursements are limited to one per household per day.

Organizers say the goal is simple: keep impaired drivers off the road and ensure everyone makes it home safely during the holiday.
