NBC Palm Springs to Re-Air “More Than a Zoo: One Year at The Living Desert” Special this Sunday

If you missed NBC Palm Springs’ Christmas Day special More Than a Zoo: One Year at The Living Desert, you’ll have another chance to watch it this weekend. The full hour-long program will air Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. on NBC Palm Springs.

The special takes viewers through all four seasons at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, offering an inside look at desert wildlife and the zoo’s extensive conservation efforts. One highlighted success story is the recovery of Mexican wolves, which numbered just seven individuals in the late 1970s. Today, their population has grown to about 600, both in the wild and in human care, thanks in part to conservation programs like those at The Living Desert.
