An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, December 28, 2025!

Today and tomorrow, the Coachella Valley will experience sunny afternoons with occasionally gusty Santa Ana winds and near-normal high temperatures around 70°.

Clouds will thicken throughout the day on Wednesday as a piece of energy moves Northeast toward the San Diego County coastline.

This closed-low will begin to drop rain over areas from the Coast to the Inland Empire on New Year's Eve while a few light showers are possible on the West end of the Coachella Valley that evening.

While a couple of weather computer models have a wet Valley forecast from the 31st to the 4th, I'm instead looking at light showers on New Year's Day followed by a few sprinkles on the 3rd.
