An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Monday, December 29, 2025!

You'll get fair weather today, with scattered showers around the time we welcome-in the New Year.

The Coachella Valley will start today with sunshine followed by fair-weather high clouds later this afternoon. That will come with near-normal high temperatures around 70°.

Because of gusty Santa Ana winds, a Wind Advisory has been posted through Tuesday morning for the West end of the Coachella Valley into Desert Hot Springs, the San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire and area mountains .

You'll see a mix of Sun and clouds on Tuesday with slightly above-normal numbers in the lower-to-middle 70s.

As a cut-off low pressure system approaches the San Diego County Coastline on Wednesday, clouds will thicken and rain chances increase across the Southland.

As of today, it looks like the best shot of experiencing scattered showers over the Coachella Valley will be between New Year's Eve night into New Year's Day.

Although sunshine will return to the Valley this Saturday and Sunday, temps remain on the cool side.
