Valley Casinos Ring in 2025 With 'Frozen Oasis' Celebration
The Coachella Valley is gearing up for New Year's Eve with celebrations at all three Agua Caliente Casino locations and multiple free ride programs to help people get home safely.
This year's casino festivities, themed "Frozen Oasis," kick off at 8 p.m. Wednesday. In Palm Springs, the party moves outdoors with live music from the Ben Mallare Band, food trucks, and a midnight fireworks show. Rancho Mirage takes it inside at The Show with KC and the Sunshine Band and special guest Sister Sledge, followed by a free after-party. Cathedral City hosts a "Rockin' Party" with The New Originals and DJ Ebony, capped by a drone show at midnight sponsored by the city.
NBC Palm Springs will broadcast live from all three locations throughout the evening.
For those planning to celebrate, free transportation is available. The Walter Clark Legal Group's Safe Ride Home program runs Tuesday through Thursday, covering up to $50 for one-way cab or Lyft rides between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. The program applies to trips within Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indio, and Coachella. Participants must be 21 or older and register beforehand at Eventbrite—Uber rides are not included, and reimbursements are limited to one per household per day.
SunLine Transit is also offering free fares on Routes 1 through 9 now through January 2.
