An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, December 31!
As a cut-off upper-level low pressure system approaches the Coast later today, the chance of precipitation over Southern California moves up.
As far as the Coachella Valley is concerned, a few scattered hit-and-miss light showers are possible this afternoon into this evening.
But the Valley's best shot of picking-up measurable rainfall will occur Thursday morning and afternoon before tapering-off later in the day.
Because most of the rain will be falling to our West, a Flood Watch has been posted tonight through tomorrow for areas from the Inland Empire to the Coast.
Sunshine returns to the Valley on Friday with near-normal highs close to 70°.
