An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on January 2, 2026!

It looks like there will be some form of precipitation over Southern California through early-Tuesday of next week.

Once again the Coachella Valley will see lots of clouds today with all measurable rain falling over the coastal counties.

You can expect mostly cloudy skies with some Valley drizzle on Saturday into early-Sunday.

As of today, it looks like the best shot of recording measurable precipitation in the Valley will occur between Sunday night and Monday morning... and even then, we are looking at total accumulations in the hundredths-of-an-inch.

Although we will see sunshine return on Wednesday, the Valley will remain on the cool-side with high temps in the middle-to-upper 60s.
