Palm Springs Reopens Two Roads After New Year’s Storms, Others Still Closed
Some relief for drivers in Palm Springs as several roads impacted by flooding over the New Year’s holiday have begun to reopen. City officials announced that Araby Drive and East Vista Chino at the wash reopened this afternoon after floodwaters receded.
However, major routes remain closed, including Indian Canyon Drive and Gene Autry Trail at the wash, due to ongoing safety concerns. Officials are urging motorists to use alternate routes, obey all traffic control signs, and avoid attempting to cross flooded roadways.
The city says crews continue to monitor conditions as water levels fluctuate and cleanup efforts continue. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert and check for updates before heading out.
