Jerry's SoCal 'Saturday Afternoon' Weather Briefing on Saturday, January 3, 2026!
It looks like there will be on-and-off showers over areas of Southern California through Wednesday.
A first wave will trigger scattered showers West of the Coachella Valley tonight through Sunday morning. A second wave will do the same between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
But it will be an upper-level low off the coast of San Diego County which will bring precipitation to a larger area and drop heavier rain totals between late-Tuesday and early-Wednesday.
As far as the Coachella Valley's rain chances are concerned, a few sprinkles are possible to our West with those first two waves with only a few light, scattered showers Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
We'll see mostly sunny afternoons on Thursday and Friday with near-normal high temperatures near 70°.
