Jerry's SoCal 'Sunday Morning' Weather Briefing on Sunday, January 4, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under thickening clouds with breezy winds an near-normal high temperatures in the upper-60s.

As a wave swings through the Southwest later today, the chance of precipitation goes up. The bulk of rain will fall over mountains, the San Gorgonio Pass, Inland Empire to the Coast between late this afternoon through Monday morning.

As far as the Coachella Valley is concerned, a few very light showers are possible tonight into tomorrow morning, but only on the West side.

This wave will also kick-up on-shore winds just a little bit later today.

I've taken out the chance of Valley rain mid-week. Instead we'll be under a mix of Sun and clouds on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 70° both afternoons.

Although sunshine returns to the Valley Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, our high temps remains in the upper-60s/lower-70s.
