Altadena Forever Run Raises Funds One Year After Deadly Eaton Wildfire

Nearly a year after the deadly Eaton wildfire tore through Altadena, the community came together in a powerful show of support and resilience. Thousands of runners participated in the first-ever Altadena Forever Run, an event aimed at helping families still recovering from the devastating fire.

The Eaton wildfire destroyed acres of land and countless structures, damaging homes, businesses, and neighborhoods across the area. The fire also claimed lives, leaving a lasting impact on the community and forcing many families into long-term recovery efforts.

Sunday’s fundraiser raised at least hundreds of thousands of dollars, with proceeds going directly toward wildfire relief and rebuilding initiatives. A significant portion of the funds will support the Altadena Eaton Fire Relief Fund, which has already raised more than half a million dollars to help those affected.

Organizers say the run was not just about raising money, but also about honoring lives lost and reminding survivors that they are not alone as they work to rebuild their homes and their lives. Participants of all ages took part, turning the event into both a memorial and a message of hope for the future.

As recovery continues nearly a year later, community leaders say events like the Altadena Forever Run play a vital role in keeping attention on the long-term needs of fire victims and ensuring support does not fade with time.
