Palm Springs Man Arrested in New York Child Exploitation Investigation

A Palm Springs man is facing multiple felony charges following a child exploitation investigation conducted by New York State Police.

Authorities say Jacob Hanes, age 24, was arrested in Buffalo, New York, after allegedly communicating online with a minor and requesting sexually explicit images while knowing the victim was under 17 years old.

Investigators also report that Hanes was in possession of a forged New York State identification card at the time of his arrest. He is expected to be arraigned in Steuben County as the case moves forward.
