Rocks, Bobbleheads & A Whole Lot of Gas: Your Hump Day Holiday Rundown
National Old Rock Day invites you to appreciate our planet's geological history—no, not those rock bands from the '50s and '60s (though the Rolling Stones certainly fit the bill). Get outside, explore some ancient stones, and maybe start your own rock collection.
National Bobblehead Day celebrates those oversized-head figurines bouncing on springs. Originating in Japan, bobbleheads became a sports collectible phenomenon around 1960 and have been nodding their way into fans' hearts ever since.
And finally, National Pass Gas Day—yes, it's exactly what you think. A day dedicated to that universal bodily function, or as the scientifically inclined might say, the distribution of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and methane.
