Fire at Palm Springs Resort Quickly Contained, No Injuries Reported
Cleanup efforts are underway after a fire broke out at a Palm Springs resort earlier today, prompting a response from local fire crews.
According to the Palm Springs Fire Department, firefighters were called to the scene around 11:30 a.m. after reports of smoke coming from the roof of the Hilton Vacation Club, located downtown near Palm Canyon Drive. Video shared by the department shows smoke rising from the building as crews worked to assess and contain the situation.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading extensively, preventing more serious damage to the property. Officials say the response helped limit the impact of the fire and kept it from affecting nearby areas.
At this time, no injuries have been reported. Fire officials have not released information on how many rooms or areas of the resort were affected.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire officials say additional details may be released as crews continue cleanup and investigators work to determine what sparked the fire.
