Ophelia Project Mentors Coachella Valley Girls Through Academics, Career Readiness
The Ophelia Project is working to empower at-risk but highly capable middle and high school girls throughout the Coachella Valley through mentorship, academic support, and career readiness programs.
Each year, the program pairs hundreds of students with female adult mentors who provide guidance on school success, college applications, career exploration, and essential life skills. The goal is to help young women build confidence, resilience, and a clear path toward their future.
As part of that mission, Ophelia Girls at Desert Hot Springs High School will welcome NBC Palm Springs reporter Alondra Campos as a guest speaker tomorrow. Campos is scheduled to share her personal career journey, offering insight into her professional path and encouragement for students considering future opportunities.
Program leaders say guest speakers play a key role in showing students what is possible beyond high school, especially when they can connect with women who have navigated similar challenges.
The Ophelia Project continues to expand its reach across the Coachella Valley, focusing on mentorship as a tool to support academic achievement and long-term success for young women.
