Zoe Saldaña Becomes Highest-Grossing Actress Ever as New Elvis Concert Film Is Announced

Zoe Saldaña has officially made box office history, becoming the highest-grossing actress of all time. The milestone comes after her latest appearance in Avatar: Fire and Ash, the newest installment in James Cameron’s blockbuster franchise.

According to box office tracking site The Numbers, films featuring Saldaña have now generated nearly $15 billion worldwide. She has appeared in three of the highest-grossing movies ever made — 2009’s Avatar, its sequel, and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame — and is the first actress to star in four films that have each earned more than $1 billion globally.

Her success spans multiple major franchises, including Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Trek. The previous record for highest-grossing actor was held by Scarlett Johansson.

Also making entertainment news tonight, the official trailer has been released for a new Elvis Presley concert documentary.

Baz Luhrmann is following up his dramatic biopic Elvis with Epic Elvis Presley in Concert, a documentary featuring previously unseen archival footage and unheard interviews with the King of Rock and Roll. The film offers a concert-style experience centered on Elvis Presley’s live performances.

Epic Elvis Presley in Concert will debut on IMAX screens on February 20, followed by a wide theatrical release one week later.
