ABC Recovery Center Expands Services With New Project and Community Support

One of the desert’s oldest recovery centers is expanding its reach and capacity to serve more people across the Coachella Valley.

ABC Recovery Center in Indio recently welcomed members of the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2026 for an exclusive tour of its newest expansion project.

Funded through a state grant, the expansion will significantly increase the center’s ability to support individuals in recovery. Planned upgrades include more than 100 additional residential treatment beds, a new gym, expanded office space, and a larger dining hall designed to better accommodate clients and staff.

Center leaders say the upgrades are a major step forward, but additional community support remains essential. That’s where the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2026 comes in, selecting ABC Recovery Center as its annual class project to help further the organization’s mission.

In a statement shared during the visit, ABC Recovery Center leaders said the tour brought renewed energy and connection, noting a shared vision for creating a space that promotes dignity, safety, and comfort for every client who enters the facility.

ABC Recovery Center has served the Coachella Valley since 1963 and has helped thousands of individuals on their path to recovery over the past six decades. Leaders say the expansion will allow the center to meet growing demand while continuing to provide comprehensive care and support for those seeking treatment.
