NBC Palm Springs Honors HARC With Community Impact Award
NBC Palm Springs teamed up with the Rapp Foundation and La Botica Pharmacy to recognize HARC for its impact on the Coachella Valley community.
NBC Palm Springs digital reporter Thalia Hayden presented the honor at the Rapp Foundation, highlighting HARC’s work collecting and analyzing data that helps local organizations better understand community needs and secure critical funding.
HARC board president Dr. Jenna LaCount Heinle and volunteer Veronica Barajas accepted the recognition on behalf of the organization. As part of the event, La Boutique of Pharmacy donated $1,000 to support HARC’s ongoing mission.
HARC representatives emphasized that data plays a key role in shaping programs, informing policy decisions, and uplifting voices that are often underrepresented. They noted that the organization works to ensure its data remains free and accessible, removing barriers for nonprofits, agencies, and community members who rely on it.
NBC Palm Springs said the recognition reflects its commitment to spotlighting local organizations making a meaningful difference throughout the Valley.
