Jerry's SoCal Weather Briefing on Tuesday, January 20, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under mostly sunny skies today with low relative humidity and above-normal high temperatures in the upper-70s/lower-80s.

A closed-low -- which will develop off of the coast of Central California tomorrow -- will move South and elevate the chance of precipitation over the Southwest from late-Thursday into Friday.

As far as rain chances are concerned, we are expecting only scattered light showers over mountains and from the Inland Empire to the Coast. The Valley is forecast to remain rain-free as this disturbance moves through the Southwest.

Clouds will thicken on Wednesday into Thursday and will play a role in reducing the Valley's midday temps each day into Friday.

Although Valley skies clear for the weekend, Palm Springs' highs will remain close to normal (71°) both afternoons.
