City of Indio Opens New Business Connect Center to Support Local Entrepreneurs
The Indio and Indio Business Connect are celebrating the opening of a new Business Connect Center in downtown Indio, a space designed to strengthen and support the city’s growing business community.
The new center is funded by the City of Indio’s Economic Development Department and is focused on reinvesting in local entrepreneurs by expanding access to business training, education, and professional support services. City leaders say the goal is to create a centralized hub where business owners can find the tools they need to launch, sustain, and grow their operations.
Since its launch in October 2024, Indio Business Connect has already played a role in helping numerous businesses open their doors. The new downtown location builds on that momentum, offering a dedicated space for business classes, educational panels, and personalized one-on-one consulting.
Programming at the center is designed to support entrepreneurs at every stage, from those just getting started to established businesses looking to expand or adapt. By providing direct access to expert guidance and practical resources, the city hopes to foster long-term economic growth within the community.
The center’s first public event is scheduled for January 28 from 10 to 11 a.m. It will feature a free employer workshop presented in partnership with the Riverside County Workforce Development team, focusing on workforce resources and employer support.
City officials say additional workshops and events will be announced in the coming months as the Business Connect Center becomes fully operational, marking a new chapter in Indio’s efforts to invest in its local business economy.
