An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, January 22, 2026!

We will be tracking a Closed-Low as it approaches the Coastline today into the weekend.

Much of Southern California will be under clouds through Saturday morning with near-normal high temperatures close to 70° each afternoon.

This disturbance will trigger widely scattered light SoCal showers over the next 48-hours, but accumulations will be light. In fact, the Coachella Valley will see only sprinkles... if anything at all.

As this system exits the Southwest, a breezy, drier Northeasterly flow will play a role in slowly clearing-out clouds by Saturday night.
